Shipping Materials in Advance

Beginning September 19, you can ship materials to the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center for the career fair. We strongly recommend that you ship recruiting materials in advance, through FedEx, UPS, or DHL. Parking is down the hill from the conference center. A vehicle will be available to assist with materials the morning of career fair, but will have space and time constraints. Save time and energy and ship your materials in advance.

Ship materials to:

Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center
3800 Reservoir Rd. N.W.
Washington, DC 20057,
ATTN: Ross Davis, Group Name, Date of Event, # of Boxes

Make sure to clearly label the shipment with your organization name. Materials received prior to September 19, 2008 will not be accepted due to previous storage space commitments and limitations at the Convention Center. You will also be able to ship materials back to yourself at the end of the fair.

Driving and Parking Directions

Click here for a campus map and directions. The Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center is located in the Leavey Center, to locate, click "Find a Building or Location," and then select "Leavey Center."

Southwest Garage: A limited number of daily parking spaces are available in the Southwest Garage for a flat rate of $15 per day (cash only) and can be reached by entering campus from Canal Road or Prospect Street. You must pay when you enter the garage to park. The Leavey Center is a 10-minute walk up the hill just past the overpass.

Please note: If you have been to campus in the past and taken the GUTS bus from the garage to the Leavey Center, this stop has been discontinued. We do apologize for the inconvenience. If you have mobility impairments you may want to consider trying to find a spot in the Leavey Center garage (please read below about number of spots, etc.). Please contact us at sjk72@georgetown.edu if you have any questions.

Leavey Center Garage and Lots: A limited number of visitor parking spaces are available on an hourly or daily basis at the Leavey Center P-1 or Lot A. These spaces are managed separately by the Georgetown University Hospital and can be reached by entering campus from the Reservoir Road Entrance. The fee is $25 per day (cash only). ATMs are available in the Leavey Center.

We recommend employers park in the Southwest Quad parking lot or take public transportation.

Because parking may be far(ther) from the conference center, we strongly encourage everyone to ship all materials in advance.

Public Transportation
The Metro stations closest to Georgetown University are Dupont Circle (Red Line) and Rosslyn (Orange & Blue Lines). From either Metro station, the campus can be reached by taxi or by using the free Georgetown shuttle buses (GUTS). More information and a schedule is available here.

Questions

If you have questions about the 2008 career fair (or about the spring Government and Non-profit Career Expo), please send them to sjk72@georgetown.edu. Please note that the spring Government and Non-profit Career Expo will not be open to for-profit companies.

If you have general recruiting questions, including questions about on-campus recruiting or about posting a job at Georgetown, see our employer page or contact our Recruiting Coordinator, Ubah Aden at ua@georgetown.edu or 202-687-6270. Thank you for your continued interest in recruiting at Georgetown. We look forward to seeing you on September 26!

Please note: currently, our spring career fair is a government and nonprofit EXPO. For-profit employers, we encourage you to consider our fall career fair to publicize your internship opportunities. The 2009 Government and Non-Profit EXPO--hosted again as a consortium with NYU, NYU Wagner, UVA, Swarthmore College, The College of William and Mary and the University of Richmond--will be February 19, 2008. EXPO attracts over 1,000 students annually! Registration for EXPO will open in December.
