Thirty-minute employment advising sessions are available if you know what career field you want to pursue and want to discuss specific search strategies for full-time or internship opportunities in that field. To schedule an employment advising appointment, come to the Career Education Center and speak to someone at the front desk.
A walk-in session is an opportunity to address relatively narrow topics in a brief period of time. For example, during a walk-in, you can have your résumé and cover letter reviewed or discuss how to begin your job or internship search. If you have concerns that cannot be addressed in a 15-minute session, you may need to schedule a 50-minute career counseling session or a 30-minute employment advising appointment.
Whether you are certain of your academic major and career goals, or uncertain about what to do next, a 50-minute personal Career Counseling session may be for you. Our career counselors will help you explore your values, interests, personality, and skills (VIPS).
We will also help you plan a job search strategy and address other concerns associated with the job search process, such as résumé writing, interviewing, and networking.
