ABC News Nightline Internship

ABC News Nightline has a unique Spring semester 2007 internship opportunity available for Georgetown University students. 

Internship Description:

This internship is full-time (40 hour+ per week), located in Washington, DC. It provides a stipend, and will begin in January 2007 and continue through June 2007. The intern may receive 3 credits for completing the internship and an academic tutorial - subject to the approval of the appropriate school's Dean. The student intern may take an additional course at the discretion of the appropriate school's Dean for up to a total of 6 credits. The student intern is responsible for the cost of all academic credits.**

Qualifications:

The internship opportunity is open to Georgetown students from any main campus undergraduate program. This internship is designed for students with a strong interest in how the media works and its effects on domestic and/or international relations. Candidates with a strong interest in current affairs, a strong academic record, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a high intensity work environment, and a demonstrated knowledge of current affairs are encouraged to apply. No prior journalism experience required. Applicants must be registered undergraduate students at Georgetown University during the Spring 2007 semester of the internship.

Applications must be submitted by 12:00 noon Friday, November 6, 2006 in person at the Career Education Center addressed as follows:

A selection committee will review applications of candidates. Semi-finalists will be selected for interviews which will be conducted on campus on (or around) November 17, 2006.

**Financial and credit eligibility will depend on a review by the Dean of Student Financial Aid office and the Dean's Office of the student's respective school. Traditionally, a stipend and three-six credits has been offered to the chosen candidate.
